The new Xperia Z3 has a 5.2” (or 4.6″ in Xperia Z3 Compact form) Full HD touchscreen (same as in the Xperia Z2). The device is waterproof and dustproof, with IP 65/68 certification. Just like its predecessor, it has a powerful 20.7 MP camera with ISO 12800. Sony claims that photos taken in a bad light will still remain intact. As expected, the Z3 is not a 64-bit device and has a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 CPU, 3 GB of RAM, and a 3100 mAh battery. Needless to say, the Xperia Z3 will run the new Android L–when Sony gets to it.
The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is a smaller, yet more powerful sibling to the Xperia Z2 Tablet. It’s one of the thinnest (6.4mm) and lightest (0.6lbs) 8-inch tablets you can get on the market. It will display movies in Full HD and run every application without complaint because of the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 and 3GB RAM as the Xperia Z3. The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact will last quite a bit on one charge, with Sony claiming that you’ll be able to watch 13 hours of movies at one charge–even underwater. Impressive!
